DarDark Horizon - Formed in late 2001 by brother CHRISTOPHER CRAMER (vocals) and CODY HANSHAW (guitar) Dark Horizon started off as a duo. The two wrote songs and jammed on guitars until CHRISTOPHER asked his friend and drummer of his former band, ALEX SALISBURY, to join up. The trio then set off into the studio with friend/country artist LES RICHARDSON to record demo versions of Tomorrow (lost in the sun), No Name Face, and acoustic song Cast Away. Although these recordings were deemed a horrible attempt at music, the band learned from the experience and wrote more songs, practicing hard before entering the studio again, this time with producer Rick Koheren, to record demo versions of Fear, Controlled, Angels and yet again No Name Face and Tomorrow (lost in the sun). The band came out of the sessions with Rick excitied over their improvement and content with the recording but still felt much was to be changed and improved upon. The band would play few live shows during this time, each of the few being not great successes. CODY and CHRISTOPHER continued writing and growing, and the entire band practiced hours and hours every week until they felt they could once again take the stage. These shows were the start of the growth of the bands Live performances, helping the members feel out what worked with crowds and what didnt, and through video recordings what looked and right. In early 2002 LES RICHARDSON talked the band into coming back to his studio to do a small project. The band then recorded the anthem "Wasted" which is now on their debut INSIDE, and it wasn't long before LES talked the boys into recording their debut LP.

Sadly CODY and CHRISTOPHER were kicked into full gear while ALEX found himself torn between many passtimes. His time to give to the band was limited and during a few crunch times he was not available. CODY and CHRISTOPHER knew they had one chance, and they had to sieze it. They hit the studio a duo once again with LES RICHARDSON playing back up instruments along with the bass which he had been doing for the band for months. LES'S drummer NICK WHITE came in with the boys as a studio dummer and laid the tracks for almost the entire cd, save So Hollow, Back Home, and Sum of All My Fears and the already finished Wasted, in a mere two sessions.

Then over the summer of 2002 the boys welcomed the magnificant ROD RANDALL into the band when he called about thier news paper ad. ROD learned the entire CD within a week, and the band wrote 4-5 new songs with him in that same week. The material with ROD was so moving for the boys they rushed back into the studio to finish the last three tracks to finish the LP. Fear and No Name Face were removed and the early version of So Hollow was exchanged for the finished version.

ROD and the band polished up their live act, revealing their new music live for the first time NOV 7TH of 2002 at the Reading Rock Cafe. The band was recieved the best it had been since its formation. Now with ROD'S beats fitting the music like the missing puzzle piece, DARK HORIZON is off like a rocket. The band will be playing shows around Northern Oregon and Southern Washington starting Jan 10th, 2003 and through the spring time, until the summer of 2003 when the band hopes to start a small tour of the west coast. It is being speculated that fellow rockers SEPARATED may be the bands tourmates, however nothing is confirmed.

Besides the cd (INSIDE), which the band could not be more proud of, the highlight of their career so far was writing and recording their collaboration with SEPARATED'S CHRIS and MIKE WILSON titled, "THE END" - it can be heard on the music site http://www.mp3.com/darkhorizonrock - CHECK IT OUT!!!!
